Been thinking
For the past month I've been involved in the Upper Peninsula Writing Project and it seems to be going well. I've posted several new entries on my personal blog at www.wedgesnotebooks.blogspot.com if you want to see some samples of what I've been up to.
I hope everybody had a safe and happy fourth of July. Class is starting again. Gotta go.

Zipping on the Frim Fram and Fripping at the Krotz
It's the final week of the third marking period and grades are due which means lots of extra paperwork, I procrastinated on my application to the Upper Peninsula Writing Project for this summer and now have to jam to get that in by the end of the week. That one is my own fault ther.
Just wanted to check in and let people know that if I don't post as frequently as I was there for a while, well....it's not you...it's me.
Wellest wishes to all.

UPDATE ON INFORMATION
I consulted with Aunt Lee Sherman in Elberta, AL and she filled me in a bit on the 100 year old Cloutier photo.
The older gentlemen in the lower row is Great Grandfather Clement Cloutier, the gentlemen in the top row, fourth from the left is Grandfather Richard Louis Clouter, Grandma Doris Cloutier Harris' father.
Grandfather Richard Louis is one of "my" Richard Louis' name sakes!
So check out below:
Richard Louis Harris early 2000's.
His Grandfather Richard Louis Cloutier early 1900's.
His Great Grandfather Clement Cloutier early 1900's.
Pretty close resemblance. . .don't you think?!?!?
Oh by the way, this is Aunt Lee Sherman, Rick's sister!
Blessings, Maggi

CLOUTIER HARRIS ANCESTORS
In loving memory of Doris Cloutier Harris
Beloved Father and Mother Alvin and Doris Harris
Cloutier Family Photo 100 Years Ago
Clement and Celina Cloutier are the older couple in the lower row. Our grandfather and great grandfather is Richard, the fourth from the right in the top row. Richard is one of "my" Richard's name sakes and I think he looks like him as well as great grandfather Clement. (Please see photos in a later post.)

Overview
I teach mostly high school English at Carney-Nadeau public school. I have been there for 13 years now. I will be coaching track this year after taking a couple years off to spend a little extra time being Dad instead of being Coach.
I'm healing from a recent triceps surgery which is just another on the long list of freak injuries I've suffered in my life. Cannot wait to return to full workouts.
Alanis goes to school where I work and I greatly enjoy the fact that we get to ride to and from school together. It is a K-12 building and I even get to see Lani during the school day whenever I want. It really is a win-win situation for us both.
Purely by happenstance, somehow when I returned to the U.P. after a short stint of working downstate, Rufus (Mark), Theresa, and I all ended up living within about a sixty mile radius of each other which is nice. Despite that, I still don't feel like I communicate enough with them and I know they feel the same. It's a busy world out there, y'know.
That's all for now. Have to get ready to meet Alanis at her swim session.

Introducing Our Branch!
Rick, Sr. has three son's, Rick, Jr, Russ and Ryan from his marriage to Sue (Gliwa) Moreau. All three boys are married. Rick, Jr. lives in Connecticut, while Russ and Ryan both reside in Tennessee. There will be much more on the three of them in coming posts.
Rick, Sr. and I are "full time RVers", which means we are modern day"vagabonds", although we are rarely seen begging and I'm sure we wouldn't fit the definition of vagrants. . lol. We are however known across the internet as 'Hobo and His Irish Dream". We are living in a large fifth wheel trailer, pulled by our trusty truck and we travel the U.S. non stop. Well - for the most part. We do stop for periods of time, until "hitch itch" strikes us once again and we move on down the road. We primarily winter in Yuma, Arizona and spend the summer months traveling from coast to coast and border to border. One of our other favorite past-times is the hobby of Geocaching which we will share with you on a regular basis.
We have recently purchased a lovely piece of acreage in Dixon Springs, Tennessee. This will become our permanent home as we run out of new places to travel.
Stay tuned for the life and times of Rick and Maggi. Hopefully it will be an interesting journey!
Until later -
Maggi (Hobo's Irish Dream)
